In 2011, Peter and Anastasia van Rijn opened The Lodge Steak & Seafood Co., with the intention of combining their passion for food, decor and of course their Southern African Heritage, into a relaxed, beautiful and comfortable space, with great food, music and atmosphere.
Now after 12 years and a brand new site, which includes the upstairs Tokolosh Lounge Bar, The Lodge has evolved into just that.
First and foremost, we’re a Southern African Steakhouse, with premium, imported, dry aged cuts, flame grilled on the Braai.
But we also draw heavily from South Africa’s culinary roots, steeped in the diversity of cultures that have slowly brewed over time into the rainbow nations melting pot of flavours.
From our 6 Homemade signature Sauces d’Afrique, to our Wild Coast inspired seafood, to our firm South African favourites like Boerewors, Biltong, Potjie and Piri-Piri, we have something that will appeal to everyone.
This is of course complemented by an excellent range of imported South African wines, as well as a wide selection of cocktails and other beverages.
