The Lodge is a South African restaurant in Kato Paphos. The food of Southern Africa was never written by one people. It was built over centuries: indigenous fire cooking, Nguni cattle culture, Dutch farming, Cape Malay spice, Indian heat, Portuguese-Mozambican piri-piri and the township habit of making something magnificent out of whatever is available. That is what we cook.

If you grew up in South Africa, you will know these. If you didn’t, this is the place to try them.
A braai is how South Africans cook and how they get together. Our imported beef is dry aged for up to 21 days and flame grilled on the braai: Uruguay Black Angus sirloin, ribeye and tomahawk, French Limousin fillet, Cantabria Avileña Negra Club Steak and T-Bone, and Irish Black Angus prime rib. More on our steakhouse page.
This is where The Lodge started. Our Tribal Blends are made fresh on site daily and pay homage to the many tribes that made South Africa their home: Braai, Piri-Piri, Chutney, Monkey Gland, Rib Glaze and Mango Achar. They are used throughout the menu, and you can take a 250g bottle home.
The Lodge African Mezze is the best introduction to South African food: meats from the braai, salads, vegetables and sauces, for two people or more. The Seafood Mezze is Cape Town inspired, with tiger prawns, squid, mussels and whole sea bream from the braai.
Inside and outside dining, air-conditioned, surrounded by Southern African furniture and decor. Upstairs is the Tokolosh Lounge Bar and sun terrace, with cigars, cocktails and premium whiskies. We also host private parties, weddings and corporate events: send us an enquiry.
